Robin’s love for the outdoors began as a child. Born and
raised in southern California, her outdoor experiences started with family
outings including camping trips, hiking, and bicycling adventures.
As she grew older, her passion grew more towards the
mountains. She headed north to California State University, Chico. Her
professional career with recreation began here and in 1990 she received a
Bachelor of Arts Degree in Recreation Administration.
Her experiences include working for the U.S. Forest Service,
National Park Service, and California State Park System. She is a W.E.A.
(Wilderness Education Association) certified guide, Avalanche I and II
certified, EMT-B (Emergency Medical Technician) and continues to guide groups in
a variety of outdoor activities. Additionally she has worked for many outdoor
programs doing research, planning, and leading activities and trips. For the
past several years Robin has worked as an instructor in the public school
system.
Currently, she is a mountain and backcountry guide, step-on
guide for bus and private scenic tours throughout the Mt. Shasta area. Tours are
customized according to interests and requests.
Mt. Shasta has been her home for many years and has given her
the opportunity to practice and perfect the backcountry skills needed as an
outdoor professional and wilderness guide. Robin looks forward to sharing her
knowledge, instruction, and experience for safe and fun travel in the Mt. Shasta
area.
