 Old Ski Bowl, Mt. Shasta August has been pretty wonderful so far! The summer temperatures have been pleasantly normal, and thankfully, we haven’t had too much smoke from the surrounding fires. It’s been a beautiful time to enjoy Mt. Shasta!  Garter Snake, Mt. Shasta area One of the great wonders of exploring nature—spotting a garter snake hanging out and enjoying the coolness!  Castle Lake, Mt. Shasta Castle Lake has been incredibly clear and inviting this summer! 💙 It’s one of those beautiful places that never gets old. My book, Mount Shasta Guide to Fun, has hikes, scenic spots, and plenty of ideas for exploring this area and beyond.  This is me! I’ve been a local tour guide in the Mt.
