Mt. Shasta has been my home for 30 years and has given me the opportunity to practice and perfect the backcountry skills needed as an outdoor professional and tour guide. I look forward to sharing my knowledge, instruction, and experience for safe and fun travel in the Mt. Shasta area.

My love for the outdoors began as a child. Born and raised in Southern California, my outdoor experiences started with family outings including camping trips, hiking, and bicycling adventures.
As I grew older, my passion grew more towards the mountains. I headed north to California State University, Chico. My professional career with recreation began here and in 1990 and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Recreation Administration.
My experiences include working for the U.S. Forest Service, National Park Service, and California State Park System. I am a W.E.A. (Wilderness Education Association) certified guide, Avalanche I and II certified, First Aid and CPR Certified, Siskiyou County Search and Rescue (2008-2013) and continues to guide groups in a variety of outdoor activities. Additionally, I have worked for many outdoor programs doing research, planning, and leading activities and trips. For the past several years I have and continue to work as an instructor in the public school system.
