MY STORY
My love for the outdoors began when I was a child. Born and raised in Southern California, my outdoor experiences started with many family outings including camping trips as well as hiking and bicycling adventures.
As I grew older, my passion grew towards outdoor living and being in the mountains. I spent four years studying Outdoor Recreation at California State University, Chico. In 1990 I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in the field of Recreation Administration. Since that time I have been working continuously in this field.

My experiences include working for the U.S. Forest Service, National Park Service, and California State Park System. I am a W.E.A. (Wilderness Education Association) certified guide, Avalanche I and II certified, Wilderness First Aid and CPR Certified and Siskiyou County Search and Rescue (2008-2013). I have many years experience leading guiding group tours in a variety of outdoor activities. I have worked for many outdoor programs doing research and planning for outdoor activities.
I also have a California Teacher's Credential and often do substitute work in the Public School System within Siskiyou County.

Mt. Shasta and this region has been my home for over 35 years and has given me the opportunity to practice and perfect the backcountry skills needed as an outdoor professional and tour guide. I look forward to sharing my knowledge, instruction, and experience for safe and fun travel in the Mt. Shasta area.
