MY STORY
Mt. Shasta has been my home for over 35 years and has given me the opportunity to practice and perfect the backcountry skills needed as an outdoor professional and tour guide. I look forward to sharing my knowledge, instruction, and experience for safe and fun travel in the Mt. Shasta area.

My love for the outdoors began as a child. Born and raised in Southern California, my outdoor experiences started with family outings including camping trips, hiking, and bicycling adventures. As I grew older, my passion grew more towards the mountains. I headed north to California State University, Chico. My professional career with recreation began here and in 1990 and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Recreation Administration. My experiences include working for the U.S. Forest Service, National Park Service, and California State Park System. I am a W.E.A. (Wilderness Education Association) certified guide, Avalanche I and II certified, First Aid and CPR Certified, Siskiyou County Search and Rescue (2008-2013) and continues to guide groups in a variety of outdoor activities. Additionally, I have worked for many outdoor programs doing research, planning, and leading activities and trips. For the past several years I have and continue to work as an instructor in the public school system. Tours are customized according to interests and requests. |
