 Mt. Shasta Lenticular Cloud This is one of Mt. Shasta's beautiful Lenticular Clouds. Lenticular clouds have been said to be mistaken for UFOs; as many of these clouds have the shape of a "flying saucer", with a characteristic "lens" or smooth, "saucer-like" shape.  Avalanche Gulch, Mt. Shasta I took this picture before the recent snow. We are getting a nice covering this week but not enough to make a big difference in the snowpack.  Fun in the Snow! Castle Crags, Castella Castle Crags State Park is a very special place. The wildflowers are starting to bloom. The water is flowing down the creeks. The hiking is happening!  Sunset on Mt. Shasta! Spring is right around the corner and the weather is looking nice.
